COUNT Your Sprocket Teeth and Chain Links!
Mikes XS is not responsible for customer mismatching chain lengths Worn (Stretched or Hooked) Sprocket teeth will cause fitting difficulties. It is best to replace Sprockets and Chain at the same time. 18Tooth front sprockets will fit if the shift shaft guard is removed. Keep your chain adjusted! 18Tooth front sprockets move the chain closer to the Clutch Pushrod.

XS650's use 530 (#50) type chain that is stock size, Mikes XS now also offers lighter weight 520 types and Matching Steel 520 Sprockets.
520 Chains Must be used with 520 Sprockets: See our Sprocket Listings

520 Sprockets and chain are lighter and decrease unsprung weight loading. 520 & 530 IZUMI Chains (same grades) have the same dimensions (except width) and the same Tensile Strength.
530 Sprockets usually last longer than 520 sprockets due to the wider load bearing area.
