Producing twice the cranking amps of a traditional lead acid battery / weighing in at 75% less and 1/2 the size of an OE style back road bashing batteries seem to be from another world!
They are NOT damaged by vibrations nor do they require any maintenance and they're 100% non-toxic. Too good to be true? We thought so as well / but after getting a few and putting them through the rigors we can confirm that they not only are exactly what Antigravity says they are.
If you're building a light and nimble Cafe Racer or stripped down bare-bones Bobber there really isn't a better solution on the market for power. You can put these just about anywhere and never have to worry about running out of juice again!
A few notes on charging your Antigravity Battery:
Do these batteries require a special charger?
NO! You can actually charge off a Lead/Acid Charger /but we suggest you DO NOT. The problem is the lead acid smart-chargers tend to read the lithium batteries wrong and go into Desulfinate Mode or Quick Charge mode which can charge above 15v - this will damage your Antigravity Battery. Not all lead acid battery chargers do this but some do so for these reasons we cannot recommend using a Lead/Acid battery charger.
If the battery is reading a low voltage and you are in an emergency situation it can be charged by:
- 1. Hooking up to a Battery Tender for a couple hours over overnight (only as a emergency means of charging.)
- 2. Hooking up to your existing cars positive and negative and charging for 15 minutes off the running car.
- 3. Use an automotive 3 stage SMART CHARGER without the desulfinate mode. MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT CHARGE OVER 15v. This will damage the battery.
