Shock Absorber Set - (Monza Standard) for 1974-84 XS/TX650's - Chrome Springs - cap with chrome shock body. 12-3/4 inch (324mm.) eye to eye. Includes preload wrench & set of eye rubbers.

TIPS: When selecting new shocks - pay attention to the clearance on the lower half of the shock. On some bikes - the proximity of the chain/chain guard limit the choice of shock replacement. Shocks with the springs extending very low on the shock body may not be possible to install on all models.

Shock length. If you are looking to lower the bike - there are several potential issues if you go too short.

1. You have less ground clearance. This may cause center stands and exhaust systems to drag when going around corners and 4-1 collectors to get crushed going up a curb.
2. When shocks compress over severe bumps - the tire can hit on the underside of the frame immediately under the seat. This can damage the tire.
3. Short shocks can cause the chain to hit the underside of the swing arm close to the pivot point.
