In 1978, Yamaha introduced the XS1100 model. Until that point, the largest displacement motorcycle that Yamaha had to offer was the coveted XS650, with the exception of the underwhelming XS750 triple.
Mikes XS customer Jeffrey Schulz (Springfield, OR) put his own spin on this classic, electing to transform his XS1100 into a cafe racer.
“I have built about 50+ bikes”, explains Schulz.

“This is my 8th cafe racer and 5th Yamaha. After riding for the past 48 years, I have had to switch to Can-Am 3-wheelers. I didn’t want to lose the feel of a 2-wheeler, so I built this bike.”
Excellent job, Jeffrey, and thanks for choosing Mikes XS!
